Dr. T S Natarajan: Is a well-known Professor of Physics

He spent nearly five decades in Teaching and Research, out of which more than forty years at IIT Madras and seven years mentoring a new IIT at Tirupati.

He has won several honors and awards during his long illustrious career. His YouTube lectures on Basic Electronics under the NPTEL program have crossed 2 million views. It was also adjudged as one of the “Top 10 Most Popular Videos” on education by the New York Times in 2010.

He has developed many teaching aids in Physics and Electronics. His science demonstrations, some of them bordering on magic, are spectacular and appealed to young and old among the audience. He has done more than 300 such shows in India and abroad!

He took the first batch of five Indian students to Reykjavík, Iceland, for the International Physics Olympiad competition in 1998 as one of the delegation leaders. The Indian students under his guidance won several medals and honorable mentions. Recently he has been awarded the Babulal Saraf Award for his contribution to Physics.

Anuradha, a commerce graduate from the University of Delhi and a post-graduate diploma holder in Human Resources from IMT Ghaziabad.

She has a rich and varied professional background. She has worked with renowned organizations such as the National Institute of Fashion Technology, HCL, and ESPN Singapore. For over seven years, she has also been deeply involved with the Angel Xpress Foundation, a Mumbai-based NGO dedicated to educating and uplifting underprivileged students.

As a passionate reader and the mother of a teenager, Anuradha’s understanding of students’ needs and aspirations is enriched by her personal experiences and her extensive interaction with students from diverse schools. She often reflects that, with more hands-on exposure to experiments, she could have thrived as an engineer. This unique combination of personal insights, professional experience, and years of teaching positions her strongly to understand the pulse of students, the challenges they face in the education system, and their high-reaching ambitions.
